Our journey began in the bustling corridors of college in Vadodara. In our first semester, we hardly spoke, but I couldn’t help but notice Niyati’s hazel eyes and her beautiful curly hair. We were part of the same extended friend group, and as the years passed, our friendship grew stronger, even though we silently harbored a mutual fondness for each other.
It was during our third year that I confided in a close friend about my feelings for Niyati. Little did I know, my friend would playfully tease me and even share this secret with my family. My sister, in a delightful twist, introduced Niyati to our mom, and my mom’s encouraging words, “Why don’t you date her if you both like each other?” pushed us to take that step.
From there, our friendship blossomed into a relationship. We started dating in 2017 and moved in together in 2019. Throughout our college days, we explored Vadodara together, frequenting Varity Café and savoring sizzlers at various spots. These everyday hangouts, with and without friends, became the foundation of our bond.
In 2023, we decided it was time to share our relationship with Niyati’s family. My family had known since the very beginning, so it was a significant moment for all of us. As our families came to support us, the journey towards making our relationship official began, and now in 2025, here we are, stepping into this new chapter of life together.
What an honor it was to chronicle the prelude to forever – specifically the spirited moments and precious bonds of the groom’s side.
